Pennsylvania’s Magus (Greg and Jessica Weeks) is fast becoming a premiere purveyor of grade a stoner rock. We mean goth rock. Er…psychedelic krautrock? Oof…whatever their sonic pedigree (they are hard to pin down) Magus delivers. Recorded to tape at Hexham Head, the band find strength in a shared approach: Fender Rhodes alongside electric guitar, male vocals wed to female vocals, yin to yang, etc. etc. The band find comfort in their bucolic environs, and are hard at work crafting future releases.
