Forever amongst the tarot and the toadstools, Philadelphia’s Woodwose has emerged from amidst the ferns to release an album twenty years in the making. Replete with enchanted lyrics, whimsical melodies, and a healthy undercurrent of darkness, Woodwose offers an entirely unique musical perspective, with Fender Rhodes, electric guitar, acidic solos, and all manner of visionary psychedelia punctuating their sound. Jessica Weeks (Valerie Project), and Gillian Chadwick (Ex Reverie) are back, and this first album is but a taste of what’s to come.
